Just got the truck back from the shop with the second round of ATS stuff installed(see sig). The first round either the torque converter or one of the clutch packs was bad & f*!@ed the whole thing up -:t . The installer had to completely disassemble the tranny to get all the crap out of it & while it was out I had them do the C-4, C-5 & Mike L. cooler. I didn't get to drive it much the first time because the parts failed within a few days. My question is on the 3-4 shift. I ran for a couple days stock & that shift was a little wierd, but got better. Now with the V/A on lvl 1 it's ugly again. I want to kick it up to the top level ASAP. Is the tranny going to learn itself back to normal, or does it not like the V/A? I'm willing to change whatever power mods I need to if you guys know anything that works particularly well with the ATS stuff. Also, the converter is mid-stall, not low--too much heat generated with stop & go traffic.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
