I just ordered another 2011 for the fleet today, and I was pleasantly surprised at a few "new" options, that I just couldn't pass up.

I was able to order a 2500 Crewcab shortbed Duramax with, get this, a 6 speed manual transmission. I couldn't pass it up, as that is the one thing that was missing in the newer GM trucks here. It's supposedly a New Venture 5600, but, as the options was justed added, the dealer didn't have any more info or pictures to share.

And, once I checked off the box for that transmission, I was able to get 4.10s, AND, a factory front E-locker.

Finally, a hand-shaker that'll go anywhere AND tow anything.

Damm, that is rockin' What I would give to slam through those gears. Not to mention pushin that e-locker switch. All I can say sweet!! Been thinking about trading the LMM for a new one, now that I hear this I think I am going to have to stop at the dealer tomorrow.

Let me guess, these options are only available if the truck was ordered on April 1st., right?

Latest order guide for the 2011 2500HD on the GM Fleet website is dated March 25th., 2011. It does not show these options. I think the next update will probably be for the 2012's.
