I have been looking into getting a new exhaust for my 2005HD GMC Sierra. Asking around I was surprised that a good amount of people mentioned the bully dog exhaust system. I was wondering if anybody has actually heard the exhaust and could tell me how it sounds. I'm mainly looking for an overall good but mainly quiet exhaust. Thanks

Installed a 4" with the CAT on a CA truck and it sounds great..... not too loud either.

I've had good luck with mine,if you dont have a cat it will be louder but not like a straight pipe.

bcarricarte,
If you live is an area where emmission are checked and they look for a cat you might want to consider the MBRP systems as they have a bolt in pipe for the cat that allows you to bolt the cat in at anytime if you need to. Plus if you didn't already know if you pull the cat you have a 50-50 chance of getting a check engine light. I would reccomend you get a MBRP cat back and see if the EGt's are low enough for you, if not add the front pipe and then see if you get a light. If you do contact "Fingers" here on this site and he can get you the finger stick that cures the light problem. Call us if you have any questions on the exhaust we stock all the MBRP and have had any questions you can imagine asked in the past!

I wouldnt worry about the ole cat or muffler. When you get checked tell them you bought it that way. It works all the time with me. They cant prove nor disprove that you removed the cat and muffler.
