i am getting a ppe standard in a couple of days. my question is after i install the ppe tune can i plug my bully dog pmt back into the obd2 port with it uninstalled and use it strictly for guages?

Absolutely, just make sure hit Return To Stock on the PMT to fully remove the programming.
