STACKED THE QUAD 215 WITH HOT OJ TODAY. MADE A FEW "SHAKE-DOWN" RUNS INFRONT OF THE SHOP. ABOUT EVERY THIRD PASS IT WILL "CUT OUT" WHEN YOU ARE ON IT HARD. IS THIS THE BURSTING YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT OR WHAT? IT DOESNT POP OR ANYTHING IT JUST CUTS OUT BASICALLY LIKE YOU TURN THE IGNITION OFF FOR A SPLIT SECOND OR TWO.

Peanut,
Been there and done that. Mine was the fuel filter but I think the problem will be back on mine without a lift pump to keep the filter full as the media deteriorates.
I think that the stock filter is like a well. The stack calls for fuel at a rate that quickly sucks that well dry and then the burst occurs. I think only a really clean filter flows enough to just barely keep up with demand. I have nothing but anecdotal evidence and watching the fuel rail pressure with my Tech II to support this theory. Once I decide what I am going to do for a lift pump scenario then I will know for sure. I am kind of on the fence for now to see how the lift pump experimenting is coming along for the others. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif
At any rate, my burst is quiet for now.

I'm sure it's been stated before. Anyone over 450rwhp will most likely see some added results.
