What do you guys think it would take to run an 11.99 fuel only at full weight. I'm just curious as to what it is gonna take.

IMO what I have in my sig is a good combination... You can get other twin kits now that are about the same as MPI for much less money

do you think its possible with, a good tune 30 over injectors, lift pump, built trans, slicks(a good sixty),stock turbo, and a tail wind

stock turbo? No. If you want to run 11's on a stock turbo you're going to have to spray it.

Or weigh 5k lbs. Seriously though, your sig doesn't say what cab/ bed your truck is. Full weight could be from 6800-8k lbs. Have you weighed it and put the #'s into a hp calculator ?

Don't trust calculators... a little history of my truck. GT4094R(68mm), stock cp3 with stock LBZ regulator, 1.64 60's netted me a 12.32 @ 108.8 @ 6800lbs... I then added a Wicked Diesel LBZ Stroker CP3 went to 12.1 @ 115 @ 6760lbs ran multiple tunes from great tuners no change, changed converters to a higher stall better coupling converter from Mike L. still 12.1 @ 115... then changed turbos to a S475(75mm 3.00 inducer big turbo) 12.1 @ 116. Finally after running Trent from Extreme Prejudice Racing's tuning I went from 12.1 to 11.84. It took me about 2.5 years and about 150 passes to go from 12.48 to 11.84. My point is forget calculators and the he added this it did that thinking

You need far more than that with a stock turbo to even get close, esp at 7000+lbs. I have tried.

stock turbo? No. If you want to run 11's on a stock turbo you're going to have to spray it.

Well Ben, we'll just see about that in a few weeks....:) Gonna give it one last attempt.

thanks for the info guys, I was just wondering because some people are close in the top 25 stock class,so I was wondering if a set of injectors would be enough.

100% stock bottom end, and detorqued tuning... I made 670hp and 960ft lbs torque bends rods. Also me having a big single means no bottom end power I'm confident with my current setup my engine will not bend rods. EGT's are 1600 max as well

what kind of motor? are you running an LLY? i have never bent any rods (thank god) but my buddys (BLKLMM) stock block took him all the way to 822RWHP and something like 1300ft lbs before they gave out. figured that yours wouldnt give out till somewere in the 700's. good job on the 11's though. hopefully i can get mine around that quick.

Shrouded...paint (Nick) is the guy Rueben was supposed to run in Phoenix before his truck blew up. Think "pink shirt".

is this block still stock on the bottom end?

i wish he didnt blow it up also!! i wanted to see that thing run down the strip. with 822 and however many thousands of pounds of TQ he had, it would have been impressive.

one question though... previously you stated that you were running detourqued tunning. why is that? i dont get it. im apparently missing something.

No my engine is 100% untouched, stock head bolts that sees 50psi.

Torque bends rods my tune is just about stock power until about 2700rpm you want to stat as far away from peak torque as possible

Can you only do this with a big single or can you do this with twins (detorque tune)

twins make it hard because power comes on so soon

thats what i thought! how is daily driving your truck with a big single and a detoruqued tune?

im at sea level with a really loose converter 2700rpm stall so it is really good

i think that the drawback in the stock class would be the boost not the fuel ive seen truck make over 700hp on stock injectors, those stock class trucks probably have plenty of fuel coming out of that exhaust at full boost
