Well I've just paid off my truck(which also gave me an excuse to go out and buy a new Victory Kingpin but that's for a different forum). I purchased it 9-22-02 and haven't regretted it at any time. This hasn't been the best truck I've ever own for reliability. I had electrical issues right out of the gate, injectors at 25,000 miles, water pump at 40,000 and the nagging service 4x4 for the last 10,000 miles.

Anyhow, I still enjoy driving this truck. The LBZ and 6 speed is tempting, but I see no real need to upgrade since I can make the same power.

I've met some great people at various GTG's. Learned more about the operation of diesels, fuel systems, electronics, transfer cases than I'll ever need to know. I also became famous as the 'VR Strap Guy".

I didn't get excited about paying her off, because my enjoyment of this truck has never wained.

When people ask me if it's the best truck on the road, I say all I know is that it's the best truck for me.

Now that brings a tear to my heart. My '02 has been flawless as well, knock on wood, at 36K miles I can't enough of 'er. :cool2: She handles our 10.5' Okanagan slide-in camper like a dream with more then reasonable mileage. Like a Rock.................SWH...

Do not get a new one. Enjoy your newly paid for ride. Debt is the devil.
