I am getting a 5vr and need gauges. I think I only need the EGT and boost? Is this correct? What exactly will the boost gauge tell me and how is it important? Also, I think I want to mount them on the A-Pillar. What gauges are the closest to stock and also work well at night?

Thanks.

I just installed the Auto Meter Z series gauges in my 2005. The "Z" series look very similar to the rest of the gauges, black with orange needles. Pyro (EGT) and boost, in a slick mount Auto Meter sells. I think it looks far nicer than a pillar mount. Part number is Auto Meter 18022. Here's a similar mount, but in a Ford:http://www.jegs.com/photos/10518016.gif (javascript:open_image('/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/product/prod_image.d2w/report?prrfnbr=386804'))

I thought about that mount but you have to take your eyes off the road to see that more than you would for the pillar mount. Maybe I will check it out, only thing that goes there now is the sun glasses.

I think you'll find that the Isspro EV series looks most like the stock gauges; they were my choice for that reason.
