I am sure it is simple fix. Today I noticed that even though my engine was hot the glow plugs are coming on. The only real difference I can tell is my engine is a lot louder at startup and it revs up a bit more when it starts. Can someone tell me if this will damage the engine or the glow plugs? I just want to know so I can schedule this real soon at the dealer if I need to or take my time and do it when it is convienient.

sounds normal and no it will not hurt. the glow plugs are pcm controlled and will come on when comanded.

Well this am they seem to have started working like normal. Only coming on when the engine is cold. I guess it was just a fluke. Kind of like my heated seats turning them selves off every so often on their own.

How do you know they are on?
