I am wanting a tuner here shortly and came looking for advice

I had a predator before and while I liked the tunes, and likes the power, It drove me nuts having to pull over and hang out for a minute or two before a new tune was loaded....

What tuners shift on the fly, and for a relatively cheap price?

Banks, Bully Dog power pup I believe it is, Edge Attitude module systems ( Not Edge tuners like Evo, CS, and CTS ), and EFILive tuned ECM with a DSP5 tune. Bully dog would be the cheapest I say. Many on Ebay for a cheap price.

Tanc has it right. Edge Juice with Attitude CS or CTS will, Bully Dog Triple Dog GT or PMT, Banks 6 gun or EFI Live with DSP 5 tunes. I can help you with almost all of those if you need help, let me know.

Shift on the fly is a nice feature but keep in mind that the allison needs time to relearn after you switch tunes. The longer you run a tune the better your drivetrain will handle it. Shifting tunes all the time is not healthy for your truck.

Yeah, too bad we've already grown out of it in 6 months. Signing a lease on bigger place today. I'll have to transfer my floor sweeper title to Holton over there, it's twice as big, LOL

I don't think a Banks tuner has ever had enough to make a difference, LOL!

Since the OP has a LLY he could run an EFILive tuned ECM and use the Edge Insight CS or CTS to both monitor and to switch tunes on the fly.
