For fun, I downloaded an ap to my phone that is supposed to measure car performance. It is pretty neat because you just start the ap, set it on the seat next to you, and run the 1/4 mile. It will record a bunch of different specs, but I was wondering from you drag guys if it is at all accurate.

My pickup is an 02 LB7 with a built transmission and full Predator tune. I am not interested in taking it on a drag curcuit by any means. I am more or less just playing around.

Here are the numbers:

Distance:
60': 4.519 @ 40.97 mph
330': 7.702 @ 59.96
1/8 mi: 10.543 @ 74.34
1000': 13.518 @ 84.47
1/4 mi: 16.497@ 92.64

Acceleration:
0-60: 8.681 sec
0-80: 12.52 sec

These numbers to me are all Greek since I have spent little to no time at the track. I was just looking for some input on accuracy of this ap.

I have used dynolicious in the past and I found it to be just as accurate as the Edge insight, which impressed me. Your 1/4 mile does seem a little slow, do you do a 4wd launch or just ease into it in 2wd?

60' time is way slow

1/4 seems slow but mph is close, with my edge evo race on lvl 4 which is about 80 or so extra hp (I think) and would limp my tranny just before the finish line and ran a 14.52. I was up around 98 mph I believe, also that was when I had no lift. and also a 2wd launch.

The Predator on the extreme setting is supposed to be 120 extra hp... I'm thinking my time is a little slow.

What time should my pickup run?

I used the Fastest Droid app. I couldt get a accurate time, it kept losing the signal for a second.. 0-60mph 4.9 sec and 1/4 was 14.09 ... we will se how accurate this is on april 30th when the local track opens up.
