But the main question is do they work. I love my truck but the mirrors in Ford and Dodge both are much more functional when you are pulling a fifth wheel.

Yea, sat in a 06 1/2ton with the mirrors, Gm is close but they are tipped up not 90 to the ground, not 100% good looking but the view seems fine. Just wish the dang eng's would look at the hole picture, never towed a trailer I think. If they had just allowed for a 10/15 deg angle in the mount all would be good, the mirro is not level with the ground.

Does anyone know if the new mirrors extend out further than the '03 power camper mirrors? I just bought an enclosed snowmobile trailer, 102.5 inches wide, and the OEM mirrors are not going to cut it for me.

Thanks,
Steve

Im not a fan of the new mirrors either. I agree with you blizzardplowman they need to be at 90s. I think they are almost too plain. They need the lights on them and more squared like, god i hate to say this, ford.

Let me tell, ya, these mirrors are 10x better than the previous pwr. camper stlye, those were terrible, I have a 40' enclosed trailer that I pull and you would always have to check your mirrors like 2 or 3 times before you made a lane change b/c you couldn't see that well, now with these mirrors, it's much better, granted their not power, but you have more and better visability.
