Ok so i am sick of getting horrible fuel mileage. I mainly use my truck just for daily driving and occasionally light hauling. I understand i can buy efi live and buy tunes or do it myself which would be a mistake. My question is where is the best place to send my ecm to have it tuned and get the dsp5 switch or is this a bad idea too? Any opinions would be appreciated.

To find the many good tuners here goto the EFILive section and hit the Search this Forum button in the upper right corner. Search for ' best tuners ' and you get some good post only in the EFILive section on that question ask amny times. Only dealt with Nick from DuramaxTuner and had good service and results. But there are some other ones you will get from that search.

Where are you from? Might be someone like Fleece close to you that can do all your tuning for you.

I own a LLY myself and tune based on my own personal real world experience.

i am here in happy valley utah. The closest good person i am aware of is idaho rob but he doesn't tune the ecm any more you have to buy the efi live and then buy tunes fro him.

Pretty simple process here. I load the tune to a core ECM and ship out ready to be installed.

Big tires, big lift, you'll have to watch the transmission and don't expect stellar mpg.

There are a few others that sell the ECM reprogrammed to your liking. Look around and pick the one that fits your needs.

You'll be happy with any of the vendors on here tuning your ECM...I use duramaxtuner
