Pretty sure my wheel bearing(s) is going bad. Went through about 3 miles of high water 5 weeks ago. A couple days after, I noticed the front tires becoming noisier. Thought nothing of it. In the past 2 weeks, I have been hearing much more noise up front. Feeling vibration in the steering wheel and some more vibration when I turn. Put the front end in the air tonight and its all solid, no wobble at the wheels and no odd noises when I spin the wheels. I don't really have the cash to replace both wheel bearings right now, should I just let it get worse and replace the bad one then or could there be something else causing the problem?

Based on your description I'm not sure wheel bearings are really your problem. Can you describe the "noise" in a little more detail? If you're convinced it's the wheel bearing, you cannot replace only the bearing itself -- they are integrated with the hub assembly so you have to replace the whole shmear. The hub assemblies go for around $230 apiece from the site vendors, and more like $320 apiece from the stealership. Before you go out and buy parts, read this thread:

The noise is tire whine. But these tires were much quiter 500 miles ago. I keep an eye on my tires and they aren't wearing unevenly. On top of the noise, I am feeling vibrations in the steering wheel that were not there 500 miles ago. However, I do not have play with the wheels off the ground. I know the wheel bearing/hub is an assembly and I know its expensive. Thats why I posted a question rather than sinking 500 dollars into parts that may not be bad.

I have a similar issue on my '05. Started shortly after I got my 265 tires. I get what sound like a tire "Hum" from the right front tire, but only when I make a left turn (doesn't do it all the time though) and never does it when turning right.

Will be taking it to the dealer.
