ok. so last night i was driving to the girls house. well, when i almost get to the house, i notice a loud wooshing noise while under ~8-10PSI of boost. initially i thought it was a leak in the boost gauge. (its mechanical) but its not leaking. i rolled the drivers side wiindow down and got on the throttle a little. the sound obviously comes from the drivers side. it sounds like the hot side IC tube has a leak in it. i have only done a quick initial inspection on the tubes and found nothing obvious. so now i have to dig a little deeper. whats the best way to search for a boost leak? at idle there is no boost so i imagine it will be somewhat hard to find. any tips on how to find the leak?

also, i found it kinda strange that even with the leak, i was still building pressure like normal. why is this?

ps. the truck went through a couple runs at max boost (32psi. stock VVT for now) about 5 min before i noticed the sound.

any help on what this could be or how to find the leak would be appreciated.

Runs fine. Still builds boost. But I found the problem. It was a hole in the intercooler and the silicone boot connecting the hot side Ic to the cac
