Has anyone had this problem? it is creating havoc on my brake controler also. Any help would be great. Thanks, Dan

What kind of truck? What does it do to your brake control?

It is a 97 ford powerstroke. when I use the turn signal it makes the light on my brake controler turn on. I have not tried it while towing but I am afraid it will turn on the brakes on my trailer.

I see. Something is hooked up wrong I'm betting. Did someone recently install the brake control?

Actually now that I think about it, I would suspect either a faulty turn siginal switch inside the column or shorted wires leading to that switch inside the column. I'd put money on the switch especially if it happens on either turn signal.

Check for a tail light burned out. Kind of a freak thing but that will cause the cruise to kick off when signaling. How I dunno, it just is common on the OBS powerstrokes.

It only happens when I use the left turn signal. I did notice yesterday that my right turn signal bulb is out. It has been shutting of the cruise ever since I have owned the truck but I just notice the brake controler being turned on because of it.

Fix the tail light and the cruise won't kick off. Not sure about the brake controller.

IN my 02 f350 i had when you would press the cruise on and coast button the horn would honk.It would continue honking if u held the two buttons down.
