My wife, son and I were traveling to Leelenau State Park pulling my 24' travel trailer. Total weight about 6,500lbs. I was pulling a pretty steep grade about 75 mph and happened to glance over at my Attitude and noticed a variation between 0-1.8% slip when locked. I looked and my wife and said, " I think it is time for a little help from Suncoast." I am 99% sure it is my TC that is slipping. I think I am going to go ahead with the Suncoast lll upgrade. Just looking for other opinions.

BEFORE you spend the $, it is normal to get less than 1% slip reading on the Attitude when going from coasting to acceleration and visa-versa. If you are getting that reading under constant acceleration, then I would think you are needing an upgrade eventually.
I am no expert, but maybe Mike L. will add his expertise to this post.

I agree with you guys. That amount of slip is not acceptable and will cause a boil over as it gets worse. I did an experiment a couple of weeks ago with a new Dodge that was showing .8 on the Attitude and did not change that reading with a triple converter, but it sure made the truck come alive.

I always got a flash to .6 IIRC thats normal.....the 1.8 is some actual slip though I bet.
If your just going to be towing and not hot rodding ect a lesser build may suit you fine.
Were you located?
