I'm looking for a complete wiring harness to replace my burned up wiring harness in my 2500HD Duramax 2002. I've been unable to find anything like this on the Internet, all I can find is for the gassers.

I had an electrical fire in my engine bay, dealer is trying to blame it on my aftermarket lights, which I installed myself, properly with a relay and fuse. Unfortuantely most of the wires in the engine bay are toast and I'm looking for a complete wiring harness and PCM/ECM/TCM.

Any ideas on who would make such a product or where I can find a GM Original, I searched the GM Parts and couldn't find anything, except a ECM for the duramax, no wire harness, no TCM, nada...

May also be looking for a salvage vehicle, 2001-2003 GMC Duramax for me to pick wires/plastic pieces from.

Also i'm at odds of what to do with GM, unfortunately I didn't have "fire" insurance and they don't want to cover this mysterious fire under warranty. I was thinking of getting a lawyer but for the cost of the lawyer I could probably fix it myself, but mostly everything under the hood that is plastic is burned.

Wow...I would call Schram's in Waterford, MI. They part out wrecked GM vehicles and re-sell. And, I believe they have a parts gaurantee. 1-800-462-9292. They'll ship anywhere in the USA too.

There are actually 2 harnesses in that engine compartment too. One on the engine and another coming out of the cab on the drivers side that are mated after the body is set on the chassis.

Good Luck with your truck! It sounds like you got a good fight coming up!

Had this happen on a Cummins , not a fun deal . All the plugs melted so had to replace components also . Funny thing is the truck still ran fine , just couldn't replace anything . Harness was no longer available thru dealer , found one used thru "car-parts.com"in NC , good luck
