ok, this isnt an emergancy but it is about a ford. dad had to sell the duramax for finacial reasons and ended up getting a 2001 f350 with a 99,000 mile 7.3 motor...it was running like junk and smoking white after about 3 days of getting it so i replaced his fuel filter..helped a little but still did it so i figured the glow plug relay or the injectors were bad, so he called up te dealer he got it from and told them the problem..they "tested" the injectors and said they were fine but replaced the glow plug and relay and it ran fine until now...whenever he starts it up in the morning it smokes a little black smoke and for the first 10 secondss idles like a small block with a 600 somthin lift cam on its first start then idles fine and it drives great with no smoke..i found a vid on youtube that is almost the same problem...except dads is right at start does it like 20 times and the truck shakes with every idle surcge and then its fine... whats wrong?

Look up "powerstroke romp"....it is usually due to oil drain back in the HPOP reservoir. My dads 01 7.3 does this occasionally when it is really cold. No harm really, it just has to do with the oil not firing the injectors consistanty at start up.
