So i hate to bug Rob with my newbie calls as am sure he is a busy man, So i will bug all of you... :D

I was out racing some 12 sec mustangs the other night (again:rolleyes:) and it never fells... I stay with them or close to them all the way up to around 85-90mph at which point my truck falls a part. The pull (set u back in your seat) is awesome till that point and than it feels like my truck has nothing left.

my question is... Is it my gears that are limiting me? (i would think with my larger tires i would be closer to stock)
or is it my tune.? thats dying at top end?

My last question is sense i have dsp 5, is it possiable to design a tune (setting 4) for low to mid end power, so i have awsome take off and than have my setting 5 tune for upper top end so i dont die in the upper mph..?
Than switch them as i goo...

otherwise i have to go bug Rob again...

Your gears aren't helping much on the big end. I bet they get you off the line a lot faster, though.

Have you ever ran your truck at a dragstrip? I think it might tell you some good info if you can get out there and run it.

Chances are the "12 second Mustangs" if they are in fact 12 sec cars and not really set up for drag racing, would pretty much be dogs off the line due to traction, and then eat you up on the second half of the track with MPH. Your setup is probably not good for 12's....just my opinion. If you are getting pulled on in a race, it doesn't matter how much HP you have....it feels like you dropped an anchor.

But send Rob a log like he said.

Thanks Rob...

Yea am getting the mustangs on the jump. My only problem is keeping my front end down. When I launch in 4hi it pullls bad one way, than lifts my driver tire about 4inchs. That's running 17lbs air in back and 23 in front. I have to almost let off a tad to straighten up. That or I launch in a less power tune than when it snaps off the line I crank it up...

Hopefully when the track drys I will have some numbers for display. As for my lift I have it cranked down to 6inch. I love the way the gears feel and lower end. Just wish it didn't take 10secs to get from 90 to 100 lol

Your on 35s in a 4x4 lifted crewcab truck and probably twice there weight. If you are sticking with them up to 90 mph i would say your doing pretty damn good.
