I couldn't find anything posted here recently about a rough idle (while in gear) symptom for the LLY... so here goes.
A few weeks ago my truck started to occasionally stumble while idling at stoplights, etc. The engine would smooth out as soon as I slipped the tranny into neutral. I don't run any programs (yet!) and haven't noticed anything else out of the ordinary. So mostly out of curiosity I decided to take it into to the dealer today. They found the #2 injector was bad!
I hope this isn't a bad sign with only 17k on the engine... glad there's a 100k warranty on those puppies! :o: :(

I know that some here have had issues such as yours resolved by using an additive that cleans and lubricates the injectors...
I wonder how many injectors get replaced unnecessarily? There are sure is alot less discussion of injector failure here (than over on the lb7 side of the board)...

That's just it, I have used both Stanadyne and PowerService periodically... settled with PowerService because it seemed to consistently help my mileage and it's cheaper.
The tech said that on the diagonistics tests the #2 injector was way out of balance and needed to be replaced... hopefully this was just a fluke defect and it won't happen again!

Do you have the programming updates as well? I dont know if your 05 falls in line, but good idea to make sure they are there if needed.

As far as I know, there have been no updates needed for my truck (built Sept '04)... If someone knows of one, please let me know and I'll head back to the dealer!

Mine was doing the same thing along with white smoke at idle in gear, the dealer said my software was old and up graded it. Said there a bulletin on it. Quit idleing rough and runs fine so far.

How old are your trucks? I just got mine in July and wonder if there are any updates I need? 2000 Miles...
