Ok I know this question has been beaten to death, but what programmer is the best for me. When I get my programmer i also planning on also getting exhaust.

My truck is an everyday driver to and from work mostly highway.
But on the weekends I pull my boat which is about 9000lbs with the trailer.

I don't want to race ( not to say i wont get on it every once in a while) but i do want the most efficiency out of the truck.

Any help would be appreciated

That's kind of a loaded question. I would do some research on this site, as well as programmer manufacturer's sites and figure out what features and benefits are most important to me. I would then make a list of personal priorities and narrow down the products that best meet my preferences. Check with the real world reviews of the members on this forum and make my decision from there.

Your just mostly gonna have to flip a coin once you narrow it down to a few. These trucks run so different with mileage even if they are built with the same exact setup. One will most likely do better than the other. Both then use the same tuner and the worst one may actually do much better than the other on the same tune. Maybe the first one that did great is doing worst on that tune. You never know till you start experimenting to find the best level to run on. I suggest getting a tuner and run about 5 or 6 tanks of fuel on the first level. record data from tank to tank and how it was driven, amount of fuel used, weather temperature because winter fuel produces less mpg. Then bump up to the next level for 5 or 6 tank fulls of fuel and log that data.

You will most likely get long term trouble free satisfaction by simply leaving it alone.

my cousin runs efi life on his truck and is getting over 20mpg city. EFI live is great because the person tuning it can adjust the programming based on exactly what you want. there are several big names out there who do a good job tuning our trucks. moon shine (tony martino, idaho rob, and nick from duramax tuner to name a few. Any of the three im sure could help you out. good luck

yup.....efi live. Mileage went up to 16-17 city, 21 hwy. Hypertech didnt deliver (but that was a long time ago in their defense) and PPE was fun as hell but NO mileage gain. I am like you, efficiency (aka mileage) with the occasional git up and go.....

EFI is top

if you want a unit out of the box i went with the Edge Juice With attitude and i run it on level 2 all the time even when towing my 25ft boat and its been good to me.
