So thursday last week I bought Climax off of Kyle at Crank it up Diesel. I gave him a 2k deposit on Visa over the phone. I gave him his 30k asking and he agreed to put an S480 on the truck with a billet wheel. Well I called him today to say I was coming to pick the truck up on this Thursday and guess what he sold the truck on Sat. He said someone gave him an offer he couldn't refuse. I'm so pissed right now it's unbelievable, a deal is a deal, he said I beat him up so bad WTF. It had an S400 on it and he upgraded the turbo to an S480 with a billet wheel for the price the was asking. Here's the email confirming it.

I couldn't agree more. Kyle just called me and said he sold it this morning, he said he lied about selling it it on Sat. Not sure why that matters.

Wow,that is low and dishonest :mad:. I'd be really pissed too. I would demand your deposit back. I've heard stories about them before being hard to get ahold of and avoiding phone calls but never anything quite like this.

Like Dave said a deals a deal, Expecially when your dealing with a shop like that you'd hope there is a little bit of ethics and morals... After you've taken payment thats all there is to it, that truck is sold and thats that, I wonder how some people sleep at night...

Sucks to hear that, I've dealt with kyle to get my turbo trans air dog 2 and all my front end parts and never had a problem he is hard to get ahold of but thats due to him running the shop by himself. I know you guys wouldn't answer all the time either if you had to do all the shop work, paper work etc.... Also you don't know the situation if one of his friends locally offered him $35,000 it would be hard not to sell it to them and refund your money so that he can still see his truck that has made tons of accomplishments around here and across the nation and he got another $5000 out of it. I don't know if that was it and not saying its right but just saying you don't know the situation. I hope you get your money back and find something better though.

It takes 3-5 days to see if the refund went through. I'm actually not worried about getting my deposit back. I think Kyle made a bad judgement call and he didn't fully think of the reprocussions. I'm betting now he wishes he'd just kept his word.

This situation probably worked out for the best. After see how he does business, would you really want any of his crap?

It looks like it's a CCLB so it wouldn't have been legal in 3.0 due to wheelbase most places IIRC.

fwiw... a contract SIGNED by both parties, with no money that exchanges hands, is only worth what the paper it is signed on. BUT..... a contract does not need to be signed, only verbal (or in this case documented by email corrispondence) agreement and if money is exchanged it is legal and binding.

I found this out the hard way in my business and it will never happen again.

If you gave him money and he accepted it. It's sold or he needs to provide you with something exactly like it. If you want you money returned, you could atleast ask for that plus something for the aggrivation.

he is a real pc of work!! i learned that about four years ago when he screwed me on my trans!!!! he did a trans for me twice and it didnt last me a week and wont warranty it.. so i took it to M/A and had it done right!!

I have been away for a long time and thought since I needed new injectors for my truck I would look up Kyle. I couldn't remember his web site, so came here to find it.
All I can say is WOW!!
I was going to see if he could do them, but that is no longer an option.
I met him when he was maybe 16, 17 years old, seamed like a smart kid, however he appears to have lost grip on common sense.
I will never give him a chance to rip me off. I tend to learn from others mishaps!
