ok, i have done alot of searching and did not find the answer to this question. i am fixing to have a dsp5 switch installed by a buddy and i was going to install the blocker plate. my truck does not have the code in the glove box, so i was under the assumption i would need the fingerstick. he is under the assumption that i won't seeing he is tuning it with efi live. can anyone give me a clear answer on this so we know which way to go? thanks.

My buddy had the code blocked with his EFI live tune. I have an FE9 truck, so luckily no code for me.

You can turn the code off with EFI, so long as the tune is written correctly to do such a thing. Is he writing you tunes or are you buying them?

You should be ok as long as that feature is in the tune. Have fun!

Don't waste your time on the Fingerstick. I've had my EGR blocked since I bought the truck and haven't seen a code. I've heard the same thing on another forum from others with the same year truck.

I understand, and my truck is such, that with "FE9" build code, blocker plate & EGR motor unplugged, it WILL throw codes.
It is a soft code and doesn't set the CEL on a FE9 truck. But it would not pass a CA snog test.

It won't throw a code at all. I check mine all the time with my code reader. Still no codes of any kind.
