Recently purchased a 3.5t floor jack and stands.
Where are the proper lift points on '03 GMC Dmax EC SB ?
Thanks,
Richard

Front, center of crossmember. Rear, center of diff.... and use the jackstands. These may not be the official GM locations but they've worked for me for many moons

Anywhere on the frame is fine too.

I read that you are not supposed to lift by the center of the differential. You will bend the axle tubes. Think about it, all that weight with a long lever arm! I put my jack as close to the wheel as possible. On the front, there are two pads on the cross member just below the radiator. I use those.

i've got an axle lift and getting those grabbers to fit in with that IFS sure is a *****!! VERY jealous of my friends with their SFA's.

Hey, if they bend that easy from jacking it up, then they should snap off the first time you put weight on them!!

Take care,

Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated.
And yes I purchased and will use the jack stands as well! We cann't be too careful!
The jack will also come in handy when raising the 5'er for wheel, bearing and brake maintenance etc.

never had any problem jacking up the rear end by the differential. I usually do this followed by setting the axle on jackstands then take the jack to the front for tire rotation.
