:help: i have a 02 duracrap that was wonderfull to 150,000 then the dealer did the injectors. it was hit by a tractor trailer and written off.
i owning a body shop and loving this truck , bought it back from the insurance company...forgetting that they would void the warranty. when the problems resufaced at 170 km they were very happy to tell me that i was driving a vehicle not safe for the rode eventhou i fixed it according to goverment reinsection. so i paid for the new injectors the dealer said do all four on the passanger side. that done it still will not shift with wide open throttle the say its transmission , trans guy says it engine, i have to let off the acc pedel to make it up shift. to much pedal after up shift can down shift and no power (feels like no turbo) come to think about it i dont seem to hear the trubo whine. the dealer sent me packing with a truck i can not use and a bill for 3000. i feel the did the injectors for nothing and cant belive the wont fix the other promblem. i read all the other probelms but cant find one like mine. the truck would pull 160km
but know i must coax it to 125 max. the are no mods to this truck what so ever and it has been down for 4 months it is insured as a tow truck and it is killing me that i can not use it. why cant gm teach thier tech how to fix this stuff if anyone can help please respond.

how old is the fuel filter? Change it if you dont know the last time its been done. In fact, change it anyways. Thats cheap.

dear you dont desevre to own it i will sell it to you.
why is everyone so proud of these trucks when they cause so much grief.
for that matter i owned a powersmoke and several 6.5 a couple of 6.2 some old 7.3 s and they were all junk. i got better reliability with a caviler that cost 12 grand can.
the only engine that worked for me was a 5.9 cummins. the very name duramax durability to the max what crap glad you like to eat it.

ok so back to the problem last check there was a new code popping up, it was p01098 or 93 forgot but it was low fuel pressere duing inrichment-:t
the dealer did not rescan it after they replaced the injectors
they sent me to the tranny shop but the tranny shop found the above code. i read some others had this code in the fourm but i did not see any out come. everthing is stock on my max. thanks in advance if anybody has any ideas.

If it was P0093 you need to check both rubber lines at the FICM. Mine had the exact problem and after 5 days in the shop they finally determined the fuel lines were sucking together on a hard pull.

150k+ miles... ran over by a tractor trailer and all that wrong with it are some fuel lines.... sounds pretty damn durable to me

i wonder how the "12 grand can" would be running

it was only hit in the door ..and it needs steady fuel filters and neutrel safety switchs sounds pretty annoying not durable.-:t durascrap.

For the insurance company to write it off I would assume it has a slavage title. They typically don't hand those out for a dent in the door.

If your nsbu switches are going out, it sounds like thats the result of another problem not the problem itself.

I'm sorry you are having a bad experience with your truck. It sounds like you might want to let someone who knows more about these trucks to look at it.

I must be missing the point to this then. if you are so dis-enchanted with the product, then cut your losses and walk away. Go buy that stroke and cummings all over them when they don't get to 170,000.

If he buys a ferd or a dudge he's going to complain about them too.

The cummins is too loud...
The powerjoke doesn't have any power...

Some people can't be pleased. Unless its with a 82 Cavalier.

if he wants to drive a Cavilier let him , it is his fault for rebuying the truck in the first place, when he could have bought two more Cavalier,s with the $, we didnt here you ***** about it before the wreck, seems you are a fair weather fan, smells like a MOLE to me

Sell it

duracrap  You don't deserve to own it

Yep, let him fix his own durascrap then.

God forbid having to do fuel filters and a NSBU replacement. Gotta wonder if the fuel filter was changed regularly or ognored long enough to cause the injector problems...

dont know why everybody is so upset. the truck was trouble before the acc. if you read my first letter. the injectors were replaced at 150- the truck was then hit and 30 k later replaced again. i keep stock of fuel filters at my collision shop and change em every oil change. the truck recieved a new cab the cab was pushed over buy the big rig so that the damage appered to be far worse than it was hense i bought it back. i also stated that i love this truck big deal if i called it a durascrap-duracrap my piont is i also call my fords powersmokes or powerjoke ect. i mown several trucks including a 04 lly . i just have not had any luck withj small diesel motors. and some manufators say it is the fuel, but the big rigs are going strong. that bieng said what and nsbu switches thank you for all the help i have recived so far
:ro)
