: Problem w/Edge Juice on Chevy Kodiak 4500

Just purchased a 2005 Chevy Kodiak 4500 and purchased the Edge Juice. I did some modifications w/the monitor to be integrated into my dash as if it were part of the car and installed the pyrometer. As I attempted to install the wire harness, the grooves on the large adapter happens to be bigger than the one given to me by Edge. I called Edge and they only build one adapter for all duramax engines which is the same specs as the one I have already purchased by Edge. I have submitted a few attachments of my harness in comparison to Edges. Also, I checked the VIN w/the dealership and I do have the Duramax LLY motor package. Why my adapter is different is confusing to me. Can anyone give any suggestions to my next alternative or solution. I would like to bring out the beast in my truck.

I've never seen white plugs before. Are you sure you have the right plugs?

Yes, they are the right plugs. In the Chevy 4500, the plugs are on the passenger side of the vehicle. The smaller plug is just to the right of the exhaust on the underside of the fuse box and to get to the larger harness, you must remove the passenger wheel cover to access. The inside of the plugs match exactly, the problem is the grooves are different in sizes.

I know what I would do. :D Not sure if you want to be getting out your file though. :D

I'm with Max, if the inside sizes match, after getting assurances from Edge that the pinouts are the same too, I would file/sand/shave one rail off the Edge connectors (it looks like one rail will line up) if not, the edge would lose both rails.

The insides do match and fits snug, problem is that there are wires on my harness that have certain pins on the adapter and are blanks on Edges harness. If someone can take a pic to the back of their harness so I may match up the colors of the wiring, maybe I can rearrange the pins in the right position to get it to work. This might be my only solution.

They might be unused wires too.

Thanks Max Power I read his thread and it helped. Somewhere on this forum I read that one harness is behind the wheel well and the other under the fuse box. THIS IS NOT TRUE! After reading the thread you've thrown my way, both harnesses are UNDER THE AIR FILTER!!. Just finished the install, and WOW, what a difference it makes. Thanks. This forum really helped.
