Has anybody ever used any of the TS Performance products. Looking at the MP-8 now available for the lml. Thanks for any info you may have:D

blackmax I am also intrested in ts tuner mainly because it does not leave foot print in factory ecm if LMLs have any warrenty issues! If any one has any input on hs performance products let us know. I did see artical in diesel power mag where they added to 2011 ford and only gained 50hp to wheels but that is ok with me if I can keep warrenty for a while. lmls have good power when you put your foot hard into them but throttle response is really bad, they feel slow! I miss my lbz with tuning.

Thanks for the info. Leaves no foot print in the ecm! Perfect!!
I am very interested.

Pretty much anything you do to one is traceable now, so be forewarned. It doesn't change the cal numbers flashed into the ECM, but the ECM, TCM, and BCM can all log fuel and torque numbers for GM to retrieve later. I doubt there is anything out there that they can't detect if they want to.

Yeah, for instance, how are you gonna explain the 40lb or whatever of boost you're making when you're trying to get your head gaskets warrantied?

Or why the TAPS in the trans are so high due to the extra power going through it.

.....Any change to the stock ECM programing code can and will be detected. NO ONE can get around that fact. Modern software has a security checksum and various other detection methods. Don't beleive the hype. GM has some strong confictions regarding messing with the ECM. Your warrenty will be voided for even the smallest of alterations to ECM stock code....

All depends on the service advisor. I've bought at least 10 duramaxes over the last 6 years from them. Every one of them altered. This is the statement from mine and I quote" we hate all the new smog controls as much as you do, I dont care what you do just don't bring me a melted down block and we'll be fine. They only know what we report."

The TS is a plug in box that is basically a fooler. Problem is the ECM is pretty smart and knows when things have been fooled with. It will still run, but when GM pulls the stored data out of the ECM they can find it. And I know GM is getting pretty picky about having teh ECM and everything scanned and the data sent to them about warranty claims now.

well, I will probly wait a little longer to make sure there are no problems with lml and then delete dpf and ura and really make some power and get more mpg! Thanks for your info!

Im sure they can find it if they really want to but lead diesel tech at the dealer today told me to always use a piggy back module. He did day not many issues though.

After some more thoughts, I think I am going to stay to the conservative side and try the ts box. I can easly remove and dealer will not have to see all exhaust changes! I have had ura problem already where tank is full and still shut me down and rumor is they may have to change ECM?? Do not want foot print in old ECM. My dealer has not had problem in past covering my trucks with boxes on. Hope it stays that way! Ordering today will let u all know how it works!

ANY tuner, Iwill repeat ANY tuner is detecteable by GM if they request that the tech do a vehicle scan and upload it to them. So ANYTHING you do to it as far as tuning or a plug in box can be detected if a warranty repair comes up that GM red flags.

I dont believe that I asked if it was detectable, only if any one has used it and what they thought about it. End of story. Not trying to be a dick here. If I gave a Sh*t I would read the bully dog tuner topic that everybody is bitching in.

I was not refferring to your comment, but flea who post shorted after you who said that plug in modules leave no footprint.

The TS module leaves no footprint since it's a fooler so the flashes, ect will be correct. The only way it would be detectable would be through the max torque output in the TCM.
I liked mine on my LBZ when I stacked it with the EDGE, not so much with the PPE. It actually slowed it down with the PPE due to requesting too much fuel and draining the rail.

but still has speed limiter right? Thats what i want off the most... I hit it several times a day. Dealer laughed when I asked if they could take it off..

Yea, only a true "tuner/module" will remove it.

With these "foolers" installed, can they eliminate the emissions without a trace?

I would like the emissions gone with no power added. How does play into the calibration?

I don't believe so. Any flash even to disable the EGR will affect the cal #'s I think.
