I want to give back to this forum, since I have learned so much here...

http://www.gmfleet.com/ already has all the info anyone needs for the 2006 model year. Far more info can be found here than at gmbuypower.com. From the fleet home page, go to Vehicle Showroom and select your brand, then select your model. From there, the online order guide is a vast and comprehensive resource for all trim levels and every option offered. You can also "Search Dealer Inventory" but rather than going to the current 2005-based gmbuypower.com, it points you to a secret fully 2006-based version of the gmbuypower.com website. For example, you can search dealer lots for 2006 models.

I just bought a ... drumroll ...

GMC
2006 Sierra 2500HD
4WD Crew Cab Standard Box (TK25743)
4SA = SLT
Options:
PDN Duramax(LLY) / Allison / locking rear diff.
Z82 Trailering
NZZ skid plates
UY2 Camper/5th wiring
DPN Vertical Camper style mirros
PDB OnStar Plus Package (OnStar and XM Radio, single antenna)
SAF spare tire lock
A28 Sliding Rear window

Options I did not get:
-snow plow prep
-dual alternators
-CF5 Sunroof ($795)
-U42 Rear seat entertainment($1295)
-V10 Cold weather engine covers($55)

Pricing was outstanding using my GM Supplier discount combined with the current 2006 Sierra (all models) $2000 cash incentive available until 9/6/05.

This thread would be worthless with PICS!!! So here they are:

Good job on the truck Silverado! I came very close to ordering the same color.

I ordered a '06 myself and am still waiting word. The projected delivery date at the time of my order was mid September. Seeing your '06 just made mid September seem a little farther away!

Question for you: I read the information you provided in another thread concerning the GM Supplier discount. I have done some looking around the forum and have not seen anything that jumps out at me as to where to put in a request. Considering I will not likely be taking delivery on my truck until after September 6, I thought I should try to get as much of a discount as I can, even it means begging! Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

See this thread:

Dmax Tim mentions the 2/month referral he can do, and I know
that "howard_m18" (if that's right) has definately offered them in the
past.

You can track your vehicle through the GM order process. Once
in the system, the mfg week should be known.

Hi Howard,

Good to see you again. Can you tell us how long the supplier code is good for? For instance, I'm looking to purchase in April of next year and if I were to obtain a supplier discount code now, would it be good next year? Is there a time limit to use it?

Thanks again,

Pete..:)

howard is the man.

The connected man. Helped me a year ago track the vehicle from the exit doors, to the train to the dealer.

Good guy!

Thanks for the info Silverado. And that you Howard. I sent you the info you requested.

One mor equestion for you Silverado: Are the wheels on your truck stock, or special order. They sure look sharp, a long way from what came on my '91 GMC.

The Wheels are from my old truck. On the trade in negotiations,
I keep the wheels & Tires & step bars from my old truck.

Center Line Wildcat 16x8 with optionable domed centers.
in polished Aluminum.

My supplier code (I work for a supplier) was valid for 6 months.

Thanks for the compliments.

Sharp looking wheels. I thought it would be too good to be true that GM would be sending something like that on a stock truck!
