I bought another Bully Dog programer the other day used and I can't get the speedo to reprogram for tire size. My old power pup would do it just fine. The old one would just ask for tire height and the newer one does both height and gears, I have tried everything and no difference on speedo calibration. I checked speed with a GPS unit. Is the computer locked up? It will still download the engine tunes. I guess I will return it to stock and try the old tuner again or maybe return to stock and disconnect battery's and try new tuner again. :wtf: :help:

Could the tuner be locked only on the speedo portion if the previous owner only used it to reprogram a speedo the last time after it was returned to stock?

This is kind of related. I have a diablo and if I have the 85 tune on and go from it to the 120 or down to the 40 or whatever the speed limiter is in place. If I go from the 85 tune back to stock then put the 120 tune on it works fine.

Basically what I am trying to say is take truck back to stock and retry.

Sorry I made my story so long.

I just got done from messing with it, returned to stock with new programmer and installed old programmer= 95hp and speedo recalibration. Everything work just fine, speedo is on dead nuts and program works. Returned to stock, test drove, then installed new programer installed 95hp & speedo recal again, test drove and gues what speedo is still off 8 mph @60 just like before. I have tried different gear ratio's and tire sizes about 8 different times still 8 mph off @ 60.

Sounds like you are going to have to give tech support a call.

I give it another try today, I returned the truck back to stock. Disconected both battery's for a 1/2 hour, hooked them back up, jerked out every damn fuse that said ign, seo, info, ect, ect. I think I had like 10-11 fuses pulled out. Programmed truck with speedo cal. and engine tune. And still the f@#$in speedo did not reprogam.

Well everybody I have been on the phone with Bully Dog many times, the programmer has been sent back 3 times. 1st was a reflash, 2nd was a new board, 3rd was a brand new tuner. Still does not reprogram the speedo. I tried it on another truck and it still did not work. Here's the thing every truck I have tried it on has had older Bully Dog programers installed and work just fine. I'm going to Nevada this weekend and I will also try on my dads Dmax only problem is that has a older bully dog program also. Does anybody have any idea what the hell the problem is? I have tried everything, unplugging batteries, tranny relearn, fuses, ect....ect.....

you may need to keep your old program........
or for what reason do you need new program = speedo won't work...?

If I understand it correctly, he is trying to reprogram his speedo for different tire size and the porgrammer won't do it.

Old one is a 95 new is 155hp. I would like to get a bigger one than these two eventualy when tranny is done but I would like to have the ability to adjust the speedo. Now I can not on the 155hp progamer.
