hey guys

i recently added the edge juice/*** cts to my truck and so far i love it. It has been on the truck since monday and i have ran it in the first 3 levels and today all day on level one. The tranny shifts as it was shifting before the edge was put on.

I do not race the truck and will spend most of the time in level 1 and 2. The truck is not a daily dirver and its only hard work is towing my boat about 6-7k lbs.

I read about the option on the tuner to do the transmission relearn and was wondering who has done it and what you experienced?

I did the trans re-learn on mine and found it shifts harder after several hundred miles on level 3 (which is a good thing). I've read that it's better to leave it on one level rather than switch levels since it will confuse the transmission and it may shift too soft at the higher power levels causing more premature wear on the clutch packs.

I also wonder if, in the winter, when it takes a long time for the truck to warm up and the Edge is still backing off power, if that has the same effect as switching power levels. I guess it's a trade off between protecting the engine when it's cold and protecting the tranny at the higher power levels.

what did you notice at first when you hit the tranny relearn buttom?

Did the shifting change at all as soon as you started the relearn, or did the only change come after a few hundred miles were you noticed the harder shifts in level 3

the reason i would be between level 1-2 is because level two is for towing and i tow a boat.

i did it today and the shifts are pretty smooth except for 3rd gear that one seems a bit off but i guess it will come back to normal after some driving. This is in level 1

So is does work, I have the Edge Insight CTS and saw that option. Good to know that i can do that if I ever need to.

yeah i was unsure if to do it or not since the shifts felt fine, but everyone told me it should be done and it does make sense so i went for it today.
