I have a 94 Kodiak bucket tree truck and it is missing and running poorly.
It has, don't laugh 17,500 hrs on it and 144,000 mi. I've had it for 6 mo and it had 2 injectors replaced previously. It needs the other 4 injectors and a new top rack installed with synchronizing done. I know all about these trashy motors, it also had a new head replaced at 15,000 hr according to service records. I figure it has roughly 2,800 pulling hrs with the remainder hrs logged at a fast idle to run hydraulics. Rated at 205 hp and has never been turned up. It will cost $1700 to get her running right. My question is it worth it, swapping motors is expensive, think she will run another 5,000 hrs? she is burning a little oil but not bad for her hrs. Want to know what you all think.:rolleyes::whyme:
