I am wondering what a used south bend dual disc cerarmic clutch would be worth? I have not seen pictures of it yet but he says its in good shape with 8000 miles on it, and its not from a pulling truck.

Any input or something to be cautious about?

Depends on how hard it was used. I bought one with 12-15K on it once and it lasted 1 year and I had it rebuilt. It hadn't completely let go but it was slipping some at sledpulls. I gave right about $500 for it.

I know they told me $750 plus shipping to get mine updated. I would think with the update that means also rebuilt.

Well if its nice like he says, it should be worth 500 I would think, I am not going to be sled pulling, my truck has efi live with a 350hp tune in it, but I wont be using that too often..........I think lol

You will when you don't have to worry about your clutch anymore. :)

Can you Tell me a little about yours Mad Dog Mike?

I have a SBC DD it was bought 4 yrs ago. I know its the Ceramic one. That's all I know about it.

Do you know what they did to your when they upgraded it?

Is It any quieter when the clutch is depressed than before it was upgraded?

How is the engagement? Any softer on take off? Does it grab just as Hard?

Did you have it Strapped?

The only thing I with I could change a little is make it quieter when the clutch is depressed and make it engage a little softer.

Thanks.

the clutch disk has the neoprene in it where there were used to be springs. It has not had the mod to quiet it though.

I would be a little concerned by how it looks like it is not wearing evenly on the flywheel pressure plate. It could just be the pictures but, it looks grooved. Mine was not grooved like that after over 125,000 miles on it.

My first question to the seller is why are you selling it.

It look like mine that I sledpulled a lot,but with more wear left on the buttons. Looks kinda like it's been hot once or twice .
