My buddy just got a 1982 6.2 Blazer. He wanted a little more out of it so I got instructions off the other page. I took the top three bolts out and took the top cover off. I took the long governor spring bolt out of the back and moved the governor assembly to the side. Moved the engine manually till the 5/32 allen screw was visible. I turned to screw clockwise, I turned it about 3/16" clockwise. Well when I buddy drove it home he called and said its not smoking at all and wont go over 65. Before it did smoke a little and would got a lot faster. I put everything back together just as it came out. It started and ran fine and did smoke some when we drove it a little. I was wondering why it is running worse now though. Is it possible that it is a reverse marine pump or something?? Please help.
