I just noticed that gray paint material is bubbling and flaking on the passenger side corner of the dashboard. This is on my two month old 05. It's obvioulsy something that's going to spread. I'll get it into the dealer shortly, just wondered if anyone else has seen the same problem??

armorall is a no-no on painted dash pads.the dealer I work at will warranty it one time.

Mine is doing the same under the trim bezel that goes around the instrument cluster, stereo etc. The dealer ordered a new one for me I just have to get it put in. It's actually pretty simple to change.

This isn't my first new vehicle and having read a few manuals I've been using wet cloth (water) on the dash of my vehicle for years. On top of that it's in a spot that wouldn't have even been wiped down yet.

Mine is getting replaced as well.

My buddy had this problem on his 99 gmc 1/2ton. His was doing it right under the passenger airvents took it in and replaced it no sweat...
What about armorall is no good??? i use all on my door panels,dash,steering wheel...

I have a nice big spot right in the middle of the dash above the radio, seen 4 other GM trucks do the same.

Only thing I'm aware of is that the chemical that leaves the shine will prematurley dry the material leading to cracking. Most owners manuals will tell you to only use a dry cloth or one dampened with water. There will also be a disclaimer that if you use another product it could void your warranty. I'm sure the folks at Armor All would beg to differ but I don't use it?

Stopped by today and they ordered a new one no problem.

mines an 04.5 but its doing it on the passenger side top too. maybe i too will take a trip to the stealer.
