I just bought this new/used 2002 truck and took out the brake controller out of my old truck. After doing some research it looks like they sold me the wrong harness. Can you tell me which wires go where? And am I plugging this into the right spot? I am pluging this into the 2nd spot on the top left hand corner.

Hi I do these all the time as I run a trailer shop.I found that they changed the pin rotation in those plugs from 02 to 03 I think.Any how if you move the brake light switch tap wire from one corner to the other top passenger side to the lower driverside

Easiest way is to spend $14.00 and buy the harness made for your truck and controller and plug and play.

You swap the brown and the light blue.

Here is a document to reference.

Thanks for all your help. I finally got it wired up and also found out all three fuses were blown for the trailer wiring. Works good now.
