I've caught 2 mice in 2 days in the cab of my truck. Where are they coming in? Does anyone know of any openings that a mouse can get thru to the cab from outside? I did have one stuck in the a/c - heater blower last year but I'm not sure if he was coming in or out thru there or just hiding there. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a couple nesting in the drivers side fusebox in my '03, I did not have any evidence of the bastards entering in the cab. I dont know of any access to the cab?

Maybe through the vents in the back of the cab or in the fresh air inlet?

:funnypost That's witty.
A coworker had a rat's nest in his intake box. I have no clue how a mouse could enter your truck on it's own. Might you have loaded something in your cab from the garage which the Varmint was nesting in?

I have checked the vents behind the rear seat, no way one can get in there. Nothing has been put in the truck that a mouse could hide in. Doors and windows are not left open, and I have looked all over the firewall for an opening. The a/c air inlet appears to be at the rear of the hood, and the cowl has no openings big enough for a mouse. The only way I knew I had a guest was I had a box of Kleenex under the rear seat and several tissues were shredded. This really baffles me.

Mice can get through openings as small as 1/4-1/2". Keep looking, theres an opening someplace.

In the air intake system, under the grill below the botom of the windshield keeping leaves and stiff out there, is a coffin dam around the air intake that directs the rain and water off to the the drains so as not to have water enterng the air intake into ther blower chamber under the dash. If a mouse can get under thaty leaf/debris grill, it can get into the air duct system easy. Be careful washing your truck that you don't put an excessive anount of water thru that grill or you might put more water in than the two drains can handle and resultingly, it will go over the coffin dam and soak your floor mat on the passeengers side.Been there with my previous trucks but haven't expperienced iton my 03, yet.

 Or should I say eek. This is not good The little b@stards love to eat primary electrical wires. I used to wrench of farm equipment and we regularly had to repair/replace wire harnesses in tractors, combines, cotton pickers. I guess they like the "pretty" colors. I repaired one, one time where the joker only ate one color of wire(think it was ltgreen). One got my buddies Ford Gasser...ate the wires off three injectors, the tps, ct, and iac. The only thing that draws them worse that heat on a cold night/day is a coolant leak....they love green eg coolant. Not sure how they feel about Dexcool. Good luck! get a mousetrap, poison or a cat.

Since you're on this subject, is there anyting better than mothballs (or cats) to scare them away? I havnt had any in my dmax, but I have a 77 furd that they love to get in to. I dont like the smell of moth balls one bit. Someone told me that fabric softener sheets for the dryer will work but I think that would just give them some good smellin bedding! Just wondered if anyone had any miracle cures....
