I just in the last week bought a 01 2500hd. I drove it for 7 days and noticed it had a leak. So I checked it out and it looks like where the trans mounts up the engine. So I took it back to the dealer and they said they would look at it and come to find out before I bought it they supposedly fixed this same problem that was a 1400$ bill added on to the price of the truck. Now is this a common problem with these's truck it only has 51000 miles on it and it completely stock. I bought it from chrysler dealer and they took it to the chevy dealer to have it fixed there so I am assuming that it was fixed by someone qualified to turn wrenchs on these things. Any thought or ideas would be helpful. Sorry for they long post.......

I have a 01 2500Hd Dmax w/ Allison, at 25,000 mi just developed a major trans leak as you are describing. Leaked out so much so fast it wouldn't even move. Dealer towed it in and said the only thing they could see were bad welds on the torque converter, They relaced it and have never had a problem since

Well I guess same problem they told me it was the torque converter and they order it today so maybe have it back by friday.
