I've recently installed a PPE hot excellerator and dpf delete to my truck. After reading some other threads I realized I probably need to install some guage/monitor for my egts. I know I can go with a guage but I love electronics. I probably don't need a back up camera but the thought is nice if I opt to and it is available with the insight. I'm just a little unsure about spending the money on the insight, the pyrometer sensor, etc, plus what I've already spent on the programmer. I wish I would have done a little more research but am def. happy with the PPE. I'm the type of person who likes to know everything that is going on with my truck so is the insight worth the money or will I have to keep buying components just to monitor other aspects of my truck? What do you guys think?

I have the Insight CTS and love it! Its a great way to monitor things going on with your truck!. The first few months i had my eyes on the monitor more than the road (haha)...theres alot the monitor can show. Its a very nice product and theres so many options with it like back-up camera and others things im sure as Edge comes up with new things.

Yeah, I think I'm going to get it. How long do you think I can wait before I have some way of monitoring my EGTs. I'm only running the PPE on setting two so it isn't a hot tune. I just bought the pcv reroute, egr blocker plate, deep tanny pan, diff. cover, and all the oil to swap out all my fluids to synthetic along with the transgo jr shift kit. I don't think the misses will appreciate me spending too much more money on my truck this month.

If you stay in level 2 you will be fine till ya get gauges. As I had the same deal before I went EFI. Level 3 you can see 1500 if you push it. So if your gonna crank it up a notch when ya get that Transjr installed I would get them gauges. I have a Dashawk which is old school insight , and I'm looking at the CTS also . I see the have an adapter to fit my existing pod. So my vote is to get it lol...

I use an Edge Insight- I like it, keeps the PIDs on one screen- which you setup to be the ones you want to monitor at the moment. You can also clear DTCs with it. Im happy with it- GOOD LUCK Steven

It seems like i'm the only one unhappy with my insite. It has been unuseable for almost two months now and Edge can't seem to get it fixed. Pretty horrible for a moniter I only had since the end of sept imo.

Happy with mine, as stated above shortly after I installed it I would look at my monitor more than the road, sorry to say.

I did have an issue with mine losing connection, however issue has since cleared up and Edge employees were very helpfull. Even got a follow up call down the road to make sure all was well. Great product and A+ service I believe!!

Love my Insight, very pleased with it. Had it for 6 months and no problems whatsoever. The BU camera price from Edge is pretty steep but it's a nice function. Also, only having to drill for pyro was nice since boost reads from the obd2. install takes no time, the pod mounts are shitty though and it sucks messin with that plastic adapter. Guess they don't wanna spend $ on updating from the older edge monitor pods.

I've been very happy with the Insight units. They work very well to monitor your engine parameters. I think you made a great choice going with the PPE unit and will again going with the Insight CTS. They large screen, back up camera option, and quality of the Edge unit makes it very worthwhile in my opinion. If you have any direct questions or if you are interested in a price on the Insight, please let me know if I can help!

I will def. let you know. As I mentioned earlier, I've spent some money this month on my truck and i don't believe my better half will be too pleased if i spend too much more. I will wait another month and then let you know. thanks for all the help. Also, do you carry the egt sensor?

Yes I sure do carry both the non expandable EGT probe and the EAS starter (expandable) probe from Edge. Just let me know and I will take care of you.

Get the EAS system if you might want to expand to the optional items. Not that much more then the standard probe. I heard a true boost sensor & a turbor time coming. More in the works..
