I just purchaced an '87 chevy Step Van with a 6.2 liter diesel. This is my first diesel vehicle and I am wondering if anyone could suggest a good manual that would outline the ins and outs of regular maintenance and upkeep. I am thinking of something along the lines of "Diesels for Dummies". Anything ordinary or out of the ordinary that I should know about?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Problems are similar, but not common. Just drive it, and when you have a question, pop in.


I think the Haynes manual is the best. They have one for the 6.2,6.5, & 6.9,7.3 in one manual, but it is only diesel engines. Great reading.
