Is there a huge difference between these two trucks? MPG of the two. Other than the extra spring and bigger tires is there any difference? Both are CC Long Box.

Thanks

Are you talking about the SRW 3500 vs. 2500HD? 265's vice 245's on steel wheels and a little more GVWR.

Wasn't there some discussion in one of the threads that the 3500 could get you into DOT rules on towing?

SRW 3500 It has a GVW of 9,900 so I think its still under the 10,000 limit.

Yeah, there is a big difference between single and dually one tons but I think with single rear wheel your only looking at about a couple hundred pound payload difference on certain models between 3500 and 2500HD trucks.

Is there a thread around here on the impact of DOT towing?

Thanks

When I bought my 2500hd the dealership tagged it at 10k, and I have not had a problem in the last year and a half. I don't have company signs on the truck, so I don't pull into the scales.

A few stickers are different.
Springs.
Apparenly the 3500 SRW 4WD has a different transfer case than the
2500 HD 4WD.
Tires/wheels.

The Dually uses different wheels with a corresponding different bed
in the back and those oddball cast iron spacers in the front. The dually has yet more springs, plus has an anti-roll bar. Stickers and are different too, of course.
