got an edge evolution tuner and on their website they say that you should not run a cold air intake or exhaust or anything that increases airflow with any tuner. talked with their tech dept and they say they only test with stock trucks. do i need to worry about it? i dont want to burn down due to leaning it out too much. thanks for the help.

Some cold air intakes can through codes and the can tuners usually do not support turning off the the DTCs that may trip because of this. Same may apply to the exhaust system if doing EGR or DPF delete but the tuner if with the correct tuning can do both DPF and EGR delete. The Edge offers DPF in some of their tuners. Not sure on the EGR blocking.

Diesel's generate heat from too much fuel not lean conditions, there's no way you could burn down your truck except by using too hot a tune.

X2, an air intake is a necessary mod, more air doesn't hurt anything!!

Buy a PPE and airmail that Edge to the garbage truck. EFI is a better tuner tool just sayin' done that mess you have...

Edge has issues with cold air intakes on their gasoline trucks. You will be fine on a diesel truck. Nothing is wrong with running an Edge tunner. They work fine.

Some edge trucks have been beta tested with the intakes on also... You are fine...
