I would like to have a keypad that would allow me to control the gear selection and converter lock-up.

I’m sure this wouldn’t be very difficult to do if someone could find the electronic schematics for the Allison. I installed a lock-up switch on a dodge/Cummins for a friend a few months ago, pretty simple.

Just thinking off the top of my head, I’d like to have a switch that would toggle the use of the volume control on the LT steering wheel. This could be used to shift the transmission and then switched back to controlling the volume on the stereo with the flip of a switch.

This entire idea would only be useful if there is a way to make the Allison stay in the selected gear even off throttle and past the programmed shift point.

There is a way to get "manumatic" control of the Allison.........buy a 2006!! No, seriously tho...does anyone know how to do it?? Id love to know.
