of course, my truck is 5k miles out of warranty -:t

anyway, i have noticed in the past month or so that when accelerating, the truck will sort of shudder (feels like i hit a rough spot in the road) when it shifts into OD. if i downshift and shift back into OD it doesnt do it, only when accelerating. anyone have any clue?? i need to take it into the dealer for the rear seatbelt recall and a brake light problem anyway so ill have them check it but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas?? thanks.

:help:

You need to have someone put a scanner on it and read the torque converter data as you drive. This will tell you if your shudder is converter related. You will be watching converter apply first and you will see it pulse on in % of apply.Usually you will see 37%,57%,67%,and then 92% or better. Anything in the 90s will tell you you got full command from the computer. Then you will want to look at rpm slippage. It should be at 0 slippage when the converter is engaged. Then you roll into the throttle easy and watch the slippage. If it goes over 50 rpm the converter clutch is burned.
