: Cheat sheet for "hidden" functions on factory radios?

I was wondering if all of the "hidden" functions of the factory 03-up radios were listed somewhere? I know that many are in the owner's manual, but it would be nice to have a listing of them all in one place. I know with several of the functions I would have never thought that the radio would have controlled them so I would have never looked in the manual.

Is there such a list? If not then lets list all the ones we know about in this thread.

Only thing I have seen has been the post telling you that you can make the door chime even louder on the radio...

Someone posted in another thread that you could turn off the door dinger by holding down the Tune button for a few seconds (like when you are cleaning your truck or something). I haven't tried it yet to see if it works.

Also, you can make the display change what it defaults to on XM by changing it to what you want and holding down the tune button till it beeps.

I believe if you hold the preset button # 6 down, the door chime volume will change, loud or louder.Only thing I have seen has been the post telling you that you can make the door even louder on the radio...

):h ... I tried the push tune button trick and it didn't work on mine! Still got the dinging. I'm gonna break out the owners book today and see if there is something in there.

Hopefully we'll get a Delphi engineer in here to tell us for sure.

We tried it last night on my 2004.5 and it worked great. :ro) But then we tried it on a 2005 and it would not work.

One thing is, if it is dark and the auto headlights are on you will need to turn the switch all the way (like waiting for the glow plugs), kill the lights using the light switch, turn the key back to accessory, then try the tune button thing.

I pushed the tune button 3 times heard the beep but the door chime still beeped, so I did it again and right when I heard the beep turned the radio off and then back on and that worked.
