You can learn how to do it for free in the "Alternative Fuel" section. Your just paying them $39 to get a brochure to tell you how to convert french fry grease to diesel fuel. But, yes, it does work. A diesel will actually burn anything that's combustable, it doesn't have to be petroleum based.

Although this should probably go in the alternative fuels section, I think that it is certainly possible that an enterprising soul can develop an additive mixture that will reduce the viscosity of vegetable oil. The question is whether this has been tested in any sort of meaningful way, other than putting a bunch of it in a $40-50K DMax.
In other words, have they performed analysis and tests in a controlled laboratory environment using lots of different kinds of oils and with different kinds of contaminants. Have they then mixed in their additive and performed tests on the output? Have they applied any standard fuel tests to determine its fitness for purpose? Have they done head to head comparisons with fuel that is commercially available? Have they performed any double-blind, statistically-significant tests on identically-configured fleets to determine whether this is harmful? Have they done tear-downs of the engines and IPs after these tests to determine whether undue wear or buildup or coking was taking place?
I know that commercially-available biodiesel has at least had some of these tests performed on them. I doubt that this stuff has. It might work, but it might not. I'm not sure I would want to gamble what is likely my second-most-expensive purchase on the outcome.
Sincerely,
Rob :)

So you mean I can fry chicken and fuel up at the same time.?
