just threw a ppe standard on level 2 on my truck, power is amazing, my only question is it really changed the sound of the motor, is this normal? i know it changes timing and am sure thats the cause

It supplies the needs of that costly CP3. cardinal 12-31-2010, 06:51 PM why does it overwork the cp3 dmaxboy08 01-01-2011, 12:44 PM why does it overwork the cp3 when you increase power, you are increasing the amount of fuel going to the engine. thus you are making the cp3 work harder bc it needs to keep up with demands of the engine. the duramax does not have a lift pump so the cp3 pump does all the work by pulling fuel from the tank then sending it to the injectors. with a lift pump, bascially the only job of the cp3 now is to deliever fuel to the injectors. cardinal 01-01-2011, 07:39 PM thse kennedy pumps are pretty cheap and you can double them up as power grows, is anybody running there lift pump harness? | ||
