You can latch the drivers side door latch with a screw driver.

I'd like to have something more permanent. But good idea to use for now, thanks.

You could install a switch in the door to simulate the door being closed or you could install a switch under the dash so you can turn the radio on without the key.

Thanks MAX POWER the door thing worked pretty good, I'll probably just go with that for now. I remember my 93 chevy had a relay you could pull that would disable it and thought this one might have the same.

You push the tuning button in, on your radio several times and or hold it in for a few seconds to kill the ding from the door. It resets after you turn the ignition off and back on.

I also know it to be with the radio off... hold the #6 preset button in and it will make the chimes off.. low and high.... I've done it in the past.

That needs to go in the file of "Incredibly Handy Things You Didn't Know About Your Truck Until Some Nice Guy Figured It Out"

Thanks!

Or you can pull a wire connecting to the BCM like I seen on here, do a search under kill door chime mod, works very well as does not kill all chime functions

Hey it takes some playing with it but I can get to work every time on my 04.5. Make sure that you first turn the auto headlights off using the light switch, then turn back the key to the accessory position and hit the tune button.

I've found that if you push the tow/haul button three times, tap the brakes, open and shut the ashtray, pat your head, then rub 90 weight gear lube in a clockwise motion on your wife's back with your left foot---------the odometer will reset to zero. Just like having a new truck all over again.

Can't remember how I found this out. I think I heard how to do it while playing Black Sabbath's Master of Reality album backwards a couple months ago. RR.

wow, i'll have to get married and try this! Been wanting to reset the odometer.:D

i have found that i cannot make my chime go off with the tuner button trick if i am still sitting in the seat. But, if i am standing on the ground, it works.

I have to turn my key all the way to pre-start for the tune/disp button trick to work.
If the key is at the first semi click of acc, it wont work.
