Im going to buy one of these 2 lifts very soon. either the cognito 7-9 or the CST 6-8. which of these 2 set the front tires out the least? or at all? unless im confused cognito's website says it separates the lower control arms by 7 inches. ive seen a few pics of cst trucks with the 6-8 and it doesnt look like the fronts are out any further than the rears.havent seen any good pics with the cognito.(hint hint)

ANY input anyone has on either of these 2 lifts would be much appreciated.

CST doesn't change your track width. Can't say on the Cognito. I really like my CST kit. Never seen a Cognito kit, but have read and heard good things. Probably can't go wrong with either one. Are they priced about the same?

What size tires are you planning to run?

Cognito's kit will make your front wheels stick out more. I have the 12" kit and front tires stick out more in the front than the rear and thats because of the spindle set up they have going on. Had the 8" CST kit on my previous chevy..great kit too!

FabTech does move the track width about 2" on each front wheel. I have two inch wheel spacers on the rears. It requires big fender flares (mine are Bushwhacker Cut-Outs) to reduce rocks chipping the paint. However, the increased trackwidth makes the suspension much more stable.

I put the spacers on mine as well, but the CST kit seems to keep the front tucked in pretty well.

Probably 35's. But i know when the time comes it'll be 37's. i want 35's but if 37's fit im sure thats what i'll have to have. toyo m/t either 315/75/16 or a 37 in same tire

I wondered if the increased track width made a difference in the way it felt.Wasnt sure if it was noticeable or not.

5thgear, what size rear spacers so you have?

they are the 2 inch correct track. I love em, except for the mud flap ticket from the CHP, but thats no biggie. Made the truck ALOT more stable feeling, especially when towing. Go with the 37" s. I went with 35s forst and they looked to small, IMHO

If you go larger than 35's you will really notice the impact on acceleration, speed, torque, and fuel economy. Also, you will for sure want to change your ring/pinion.....

thanks for the info 5thgear.i tow and haul alot so i will probably stick with the 35's. but its gonna be tough not to get 37's.

deadeye, i know this my buddy has a 6" fabtech susp and 3" body lift on his 04 lb7 with 37-1350-22's. BUT he does tow a 17k stone and rock trailer once a week with nothing but a predator and strait pipe and hes had no problems. except his gas mileage SUCKS

i have the 10 inch cognito kit. it sets the front wider than the back but it looks good and its barely noticeable. go with cognito, well worth the cash.
