I have a 2003 DA, 3500. I heard somewhere all 3500s come with a G80.
Now I feel some what inadequate. Who can put one in and how much?

You guys have issues.
You have been driving it for three years without one and didn't notice why do you what one now? If it was me I wouldn't waste my $$$ with the G80 probably cost more than it's worth.

If you've really got a Jones to do that, Saguaro....Do what BMDMAX did...use the TracRite.

Leave it open, or go with a good aftermarket locker.

You are not alone because G80 is not a standard feature on a 3500. I had to order mine with it, it was included with the power package. I would have to say most diesels came with it while GM was offering the power package. I however would go aftermarket and look towards a detroit locker.

Go with a Detroit locker or one of the driveway lockers but dont get a G80 ! The 80's will all but quit once the clutch pads wear and its still only a limited slip (they should call it limited lock).

detriots ect are not available yet or thats last I heard.

What do you do with it? I'd leave it open unless you have a need. Even the cost of a tow or 2 to yank you out if you get stuck would be less than the cost of an install.

Unless you race or plow or travel in the snow alot ect.......

Good tires suited to what you are doing will take you a hell of alot farthur than any traction device in the rear end especially a g 80

I heard at a recent sled pull that the Dodge has the same rear axle but with a better locker than the G80 and it would be a very simple install. Might ask Hoot if he knows about this. Mabe a search on the competition and/or results forum regarding lockers. . . .
